a texture sensation

I think I've mentioned before that I am addicted to textures. Anytime I'm passing by any form of textured surfaces, be it in architecture or fabrics, I just have to pass my hand over it or fingers through it. I get a tingly sensation all through my body, and it's exhilarating just to look at it and decipher the patterns created by the textures.

A few weeks ago I came across the great artist that is Helen Amy Murray. Talk about texture overload with her work! Not only does she work just with textures, her work is best described as surface design in 3d, that's how I see it. And from the image above you can see what I mean.

She mostly works with furniture design and here you can see the extent of the detail in her designs. When I first saw this it honestly brought tears to my eyes just imagining the passion someone must have to create such a beautiful work of art. Love it! Please visit her website to see this up close and in full detail...you'll be in awe.
