an animated {sherwin-williams} color palette
Through my daily blog roll I was reminded of one of the most creative commercials I've seen in some time, via the OrangeBeautiful Scoop. I had seen these colorful commercials throughout last week, and every single time they made me smile, but I really had to pay close attention to see every little detail. This is one of the four print ads which will be run in Architectural Digest, among other magazines.
This is one of the commercials airing right now. Doesn't it make you smile with joy when seeing all the vibrant colors, and imagining they're all paint chips? You can catch the other commercial here, even the music fills you with glee.
These are a couple more of the print ads created by talented paper sculptor Matthew Sporzynski, of Real Simple magazine fame.
You can view more colorful images on Sherwin-Williams' Facebook Album.

the colorfulness of jonathan adler
I've been a fan of Jonathan Adler for some years now. I'm such an admirer of his bold color and pattern choices as well as his quirky pottery creations. These are a few place-settings I put together for my dream dinner table.
Isn't this orange and gold mod dot porcelain setting gorgeous?! The floral table linen is a great contrast both in color and and pattern and would make for an interesting table.
I'm loving this blue and platinum Greek key motif china set, very modern but classic at the same time. Perfectly accented with the contrasting orange hued table linen.

a {jazzy} summer day
Hello all, and welcome to a new week. It's a gray, gloomy June day in San Diego and I'm feeling in a Jazzy summer mood. These are some of the tunes I'm listening to.
Always love a good Chet Baker tune...and this is my all-time favorite!

happy weekend + a {dream} parisian flat
I've got Paris on the brain again (when don't I?!) after this great view I spotted via Prêt à Voyager. This is a visual + sparkle of my dream Parisian apartment to remember that it's always a flight away.
Isn't that bathroom a dream?! Imagine soaking in the bathtub with a view of the city at night. Have a great weekend and I'll see you on Monday.

a lot of lotta
I found these great illustrations by Finnish designer Lotta Nieminen.
I love the grainy texture and the colors.
Some have interesting patterns and compositions.
I could so see this framed...maybe hung next to my Sweet Bird.
This interesting composition of a woman...
along with this one of a man would be perfect to hang on the outside of bathroom doors as markers.
This one is just sweet, and interesting at the same time. Make sure to check out Lotta's website for more great illustrations. She's also a graphic designer.

we can change the world
So much to say, yet I can't find the words. This video is a great reminder that while we pass through hard times, it's still possible to change the world. May it inspire you, as it did me, to always keep fighting for what you want and remember that anything is possible.

it's station{e}ry
As a STATIONERY designer it has always been a pet-peeve of mine seeing the word misspelled, even on other stationer's sites and blogs!! I've seen a few creative ways of people trying to state the difference between 'stationery' with and 'e' and 'stationary' with an 'a', but this is by far my favorite. Found via Oh So Beautiful Paper, this would be a great addition to my tote collection, and I would be doing a great service to the Stationery world as I carry it around...so it merits the spending! :)

to the zoo we go
Today will be a fun-filled day at the Zoo with my little niece Alexis, her Mama (my sister), and my Mom. So to celebrate this mid-week outing I searched high and low for the cutest animal illustrations. Here are a few of my findings.

a little extra...pink visual + sparkle
I'm back to my old ways at the San Diego Wedding Insider creating these gorgeous Wedding Visual Boards. This week we were inspired by the rosy pink sophistication of delicious cupcakes and soothing cocktails. Check out the listing of wonderful photographers who shot these beauties at the San Diego Wedding Insider site.

some mid-june inspiration
Hi there, I've missed you. Sorry, with the excitement of Friday's World Cup inauguration I totally forgot to wish you a happy weekend. But well, here I am today ready to start a new week, almost.
We're almost at the 'hump' of the year, rolling down the hill in a way, and with this June Gloom in San Diego I need some mid year inspiration. What better way to pep my day up than with this sweet Ballad to June by Italian and French musicians Chiara Mastroianni & Benjamin Biolay. Take a listen and enjoy your day.
See you tomorrow.

give me some more mint{ed}
Boy, this challenge sure ran long, but the deadline truly crept up on me. Today is the last day for submissions and these are a few more that I uploaded. I'm very non-traditional and like things modern, so I kept with the block text on this one while still using semi-traditional colors (because they asked for it).
{ Framed Sweetness }
This is my favorite of them all...Framed Sweetness. I based it on a Baby Announcement I just created because I liked it so much (I'll show you that later; it's a surprise.).
{ Holiday Lights }
Actually, this is my favorite, too. I like the non-traditional holiday colors and the blurred lights effect...it gives it a snowy feel. And that couple...so sweet!
I'll keep you posted on when the voting starts.

five star hotel, five star design
I've never been to London, but would like to visit some day. And finding the gorgeous accoutrements you receive as guests of the fancy Claridge's London hotel only makes want to visit more.
Isn't this black and white egg gorgeous?! And that jade-colored box makes it pop even more.
The black, white, jade, and gold (which you don't see much in these images) colors are the brands chosen color palette, which truly adds to the sophistication of the products. I'm really liking these b/w ribbons.
How cool would it be to receive these chevron-ed pencils with jade erasers?...I certainly wouldn't mind!
This is a great image showcasing the chevron pattern on the pencils, just one of the many items with the b/w motif.
Now these are the coolest! I'm really liking the simple, yet elegant, black and white designs with jade added just as a dash of color. I'd like these postcards for my collection.
Make sure to visit the Creative Review blog as well as the Claridge’s Mayfair Hotel website for more beautiful imagery.

a fine pair...arrived
Hello...welcome to a new week. Hope it's a great one.
A few months ago I shared with you some of my favorite glasses from Warby Parker, a great online resource for prescription glasses at a low price. Well, Gabe was in the need for some new ones and he went directly to the Warby Parker site to order them...they arrived last week.
When I opened the shipping box and feasted my eyes on the actual Warby packaging I was in love. The outer container was a dark charcoal, linen-textured box.
As I opened the tight-fitting, charcoal box I saw a velvety, bone-colored case in which the eye glasses were contained. So smooth...
Then, I took out the case and opened it just to see the bright, turquoise, velvet interior...a beautiful color palette.
These are just some of the little details: Warby Parker inscribed on the inside of the glasses.
The WP initials inside the case.
And this soft, gray cleaning cloth also inscribed with the WP initials. I loved all the little details of this package.

happy weekend + jewelry lovelies
It's the weekend again!! Looking forward to spending some time with family during the little breaks I take from working so much. To take my mind off the long to-do list for the next couple of days, I day dream of these jeweled lovelies I'll be able to buy when I'm done (and get paid!!).
Have yourself a great weekend. See you back on Monday, now with more Minted Holiday designs to review...for sure this time.

an artful wedding
I haven't posted anything Wedding-related in a while (besides this cute invite I shared with you last week), but I came across the most gorgeous Wedding Photographs via The Wedding Chicks yesterday and I just had to share the images that I couldn't get off my mind. This one above of the lovely couple sharing a delicious piece of cake immediately drew me in due to the beautiful forest-green patterned wallpaper. You absolutely have to see it enlarged to appreciate it.
The bright yellow peel of lemons make them my favorite fruit, and that's what instantly captured my eye when I scrolled through this image. I love the way the rings are placed so gently atop such a simple setting.
This is what made me keep looking at this Houston Wedding...I love the creative signage the couple created for various stations throughout their event. Visit The Wedding Chicks to view more of their designs.
Now, this image below made me fall in love with the photographer...so non-traditional and artful. Just scroll slowly and be surprised.
I LOVE it! Who could imagine this would be a Wedding Portrait?!
